Rachel Balsley is a seasoned professional in waste management with over two decades of experience. Currently serving as a Senior Program Manager at StopWaste, Rachel is responsible for managing waste prevention and recycling programs in Alameda County, including overseeing the Mandatory Recycling Ordinance project and various business outreach initiatives. Prior experience includes roles at Campus Recycling & Refuse Services at UC Berkeley, Central Contra Costa Solid Waste Authority, and the Department of Agricultural & Resource Economics at UC Berkeley, where Rachel contributed to recycling programs, waste management research, and administrative support. Rachel holds an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School and a B.S. in BioResource Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
