Joel Kanniainen

Joel Kanniainen currently serves as the Safety Manager at Stora Enso's Varkaus Containerboard mill since June 2020, overseeing safety culture implementation, management of safety activities, and occupational health and safety responsibilities. Prior to this role, Joel Kanniainen worked with Yara International as a Security Engineer and Safety Specialist, focusing on area security, technical safety systems management, and the development of mining safety. Joel Kanniainen has also held various safety supervisor roles and volunteered as an industrial firefighter at Stora Enso. Educational achievements include a Diploma in Safety and Security Management and a Master of Engineering in Technology Leadership Management, along with additional qualifications in Digital Security and Energy Engineering.
