Maria Holopainen

Maria Holopainen has a diverse work experience with various roles in different organizations. Maria recently worked at Stora Enso as the Business Lead on Circular Economy. Prior to that, they held positions as a Senior Manager in Innovation and New Business Development at the same company. Before joining Stora Enso, Maria worked at VTT as a Programme Manager and Specialist in Business Development and Project Management. Maria also worked at EERA - The European Energy Research Alliance as a Member of EERA Secretariat, and at Finpro as a Junior Market Analyst. Maria has also gained experience at Helsinki University of Technology, Confederation of Finnish Industries EK, CRF Inc., The Student Union of Helsinki School of Economics, Talentum Media Oy, and Sibelius Academy in various capacities.

Maria Holopainen obtained a Master of Science degree in Organization and Management, Accounting, Intercultural Communication, and Asian Studies from Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu between 2001 and 2008. Maria also participated in an exchange program at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore in 2005, and studied Politics and Economics at Fudan University during the same year.
