Markus O. A. Erola

Markus O. A. Erola has extensive experience in the fields of chemical product performance, innovation, and research and development, currently serving as Manager at Stora Enso since June 2015, after holding roles as Team Leader and Research Scientist. Prior to this, Markus was involved in academia at the University of Eastern Finland from September 2008 to May 2015 as a part-time teacher and Early Stage Researcher, focusing on colloidal gold and polymer particle synthesis. Markus also contributed to the University of Joensuu as a Research Secretary and Research Assistant in various projects related to mesoporous cobalt catalysts. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Chemistry from the University of Eastern Finland and a Master’s Degree from Joensuun yliopisto. Additionally, participation in a NATO Advanced study institute focused on nano-structures highlights Markus's commitment to advancing knowledge in materials chemistry.
