Jacob Willoughby

Jacob Willoughby serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Storj since February 2022, having previously held the position of VP, Product Engineering. Prior to Storj, Jacob was the Chief Technical Officer at CrowdStorage from 2018 to February 2022 and worked as an Engineering Manager at Vivint Smart Home in 2017 and 2018. Jacob also gained experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Space Monkey, Inc. from 2015 to 2017 and served as a Software Engineer at Control4 from 2013 to 2015. Earlier in Jacob's career, experience included a Software Engineer role at the United States Department of Defense from 2010 to 2013 and a Software Programmer position at Data Systems International from 2002 to 2006. Jacob holds a Master of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, both from the University of Utah, completed between 2008 and 2010.
