César de Oliveira Ferreira Silva

César de Oliveira Ferreira Silva has a diverse range of work experience spanning from 2010 to the present. César is currently a Data Scientist at StormGeo, starting in December 2021. Before that, they worked at Agroicone as a Researcher from March 2020 to December 2021, where they specialized in information systems, database management, and computational optimization. César also worked as a Research Assistant at Agroicone from April 2019 to February 2020, focusing on territorial intelligence and spatial analysis using geoprocessing and remote sensing methods.

Prior to Agroicone, César worked as an Associate Researcher at IPT - Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas from August 2018 to November 2019, conducting scientific research in irrigation and drainage. César also had a role as a Data Scientist at SIAA Meio Ambiente e Tecnologia from December 2018 to April 2019, where they specialized in data engineering and water resource management projects.

César's career started at IBM in May 2010, where they worked as a Technical Help Desk Specialist until April 2011. In this role, they provided technical support for various operating systems and software programs, including IBM Lotus and Active Directory.

Throughout their career, César has gained experience with tools and technologies such as R, Python, AWS, PostgreSQL, Spark, Tableau, Jupyter Notebook, ArcGIS, QGIS, Shell Linux, JavaScript, and HTML.

César de Oliveira Ferreira Silva's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, which they obtained from 2012 to 2017. César then pursued a Master's degree in Agronomy, specializing in Irrigation and Drainage, at the same university from 2017 to 2019. For their Master's research, they focused on spatial modeling of groundwater recharge under different cover land uses.

Currently, César is a PhD candidate in Agricultural Engineering at Universidade Estadual de Campinas, a position they have held since 2021. César'sPhD research involves the fusion of heterogeneous data for the improvement of geo-statistical modeling.

In addition to their formal education, César has obtained several certifications. In August 2020, they completed the courses "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," and "Structuring Machine Learning Projects" from deeplearning.ai.
