Nina Winther-Kaland

Nina Winther-Kaland has had a diverse range of roles throughout their work experience. Nina began their career at the Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center as a Scientist in 2002 and continued in that role until 2007. Nina then joined StormGeo as a Senior Scientist, where they worked from 2007 to 2014. From 2014 to 2019, Nina served as a Research Manager at StormGeo before being promoted to the position of Research Director, which they held from 2019 to 2023. In addition, they served as a Board Member at StormGeo from 2013 to 2021. Currently, Nina holds the position of Director of Data Science at StormGeo, a role they have held since March 2023. Additionally, they are a Board Member at Nabla Flow since 2019 and a Council Member of the Scientific Council at the Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center since 2022.

Nina Winther-Kaland attended the University of Bergen (UiB) from 1996 to 2005, where they obtained a dr.scient degree in Oceanography.
