Neil Macdonald has been involved in various roles in the business world since 2001. Neil began their career as a Consultant for WYG Group in 2001. In 2005, they Co-Founded and became a Director of Pentland Macdonald Ltd. In 2014, they became an Entrepreneur in Residence at Catalyst Inc HQ. In 2015, they became the CEO of Thrive, a social impact platform, where they managed modules such as Social Value Reporting, Employee Volunteer Management and Grants/Donations Management. In 2017, they Co-Founded and became a Non-Executive Director of StormHarvester, a smart technology company which uses machine learning, IoT and cloud computing to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of traditional drainage infrastructure.
Neil Macdonald completed a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from the University of St Andrews in 2000. Neil then went on to complete a Master of Science in Environmental Management from Ulster University in 2002.
