Karen Reed-Coffman

Karen Reed-Coffman has had a diverse work experience. Karen started their career at Stormont Vail Health in 1997 as a Resource Representative Supervisor. Karen then worked as a Medical Transcriptionist from 2002 until 2007. Afterwards, they became a Credentialing Specialist at Stormont Vail Health from 2007 until 2013. Later on, they took on the role of Director of Medical Staff Services at Stormont Vail Health, a position they still hold. Additionally, they have worked as a Substitute Teacher at USD 345 from 2005 to 2007.

Karen Reed-Coffman has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Baker University, obtained in 2016. Karen also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Washburn University, obtained in 1992. In addition to their degrees, they have several certifications, including a Credentialing Specialist Certificate from the Institute for Credentialing Excellence obtained in 2021, a NAMSS Leadership Certificate from the National Association Medical Staff Services obtained in 2019, and two certifications from NAMSS - the Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) obtained in December 2012, and the Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) obtained in December 2009. Karen also completed a virtual exchange program through the Institute for Credentialing Excellence, earning 12 credit hours in 2020.
