Dr. Clements is a renowned scientist in the area of wildfire meteorology. His areas of research include fire-atmosphere interactions, extreme fire behavior, fire weather forecasting, mountain meteorology, remote sensing of wildfire plumes, and unmanned aircraft systems for monitoring extreme environments. Dr. Clements has published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles and participated in multiple media interviews regarding meteorology and fire weather systems. He is an associate professor and director of the Fire Weather Research Laboratory at San Jose State University.
