Dr. Días de la Rubia is the Vice President for Research Partnerships at the University of Oklahoma. Prior to the University of Oklahoma, he was the Chief Research Officer and Deputy Lab Director at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he was responsible for the long-term health of the of the science and technology foundations of the laboratory's $1.6 billion research program. Dr. Días de la Rubia has published more than 150 peer-reviewed articles and has co-edited several books. He is fellow of the American Physical Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Board of Directors for the Materials Research Society, Vice Chair of the Division of Computational Physics of the American Physical Society, member of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine Intelligence Community Studies Board, and a member of the Editorial Board of Applied Physics Review.
