Brett Ludwig has a wide range of work experience in various fields. Since November 2020, they have been serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Story City. Previously, starting in 2013, Brett was the Owner and Software/Web Consultant at Simple Connections, where they managed contractors and projects, and handled front-end and back-end development. Brett also had accounting responsibilities during this time. In 2009, Brett worked as a Tenor at Pro Coro Canada, a professional choir, and as a Singer and Arranger at 6 Minute Warning. In 2018, they briefly worked as a Game Programmer at Bioware. From 2012 to 2013, Brett served as a Team Lead and Software Developer at Meier & Associates. Lastly, in 2009, they worked as a Web Developer at Bioware, where they specialized in PHP, SQL scripting, and optimization, and was responsible for task tracking and visual design.

Brett Ludwig completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering with a Software Option at the University of Alberta from 2000 to 2004. Brett pursued their interest in music by obtaining a Diploma in Music Performance with a Piano focus at MacEwan University from 2005 to 2006. In 2015, they attended Stanford University and earned a Certificate in Machine Learning. Outside of their formal education, Brett also obtained certifications in Japanese Language Proficiency Test - N5 from JEES - Japan Educational Exchanges and Services in July 2019 and Machine Learning from Coursera in April 2015.

Story City has published 40+ interactive stories across 8 cities and in the process has provided professional development to 300+ writers, artists, voiceover narrators, filmmakers and musicians, and have mentored 80+ to create our real-life choose-your-adventures. This is only the start of pivot into an open, and international platform where storytellers of all industries can create location based stories to sell or experience across the world. Our mission is to become the global hub for local stories, fictional game experiences, and self-guided historical, food, art tours. We want you to be able to go anywhere in the world and use Story City to discover a new place. And when you pay for a Story City adventure or tour, that money goes direct to the local person that made it.
