Raul Martinez Fernandez

Raul Martinez Fernandez is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in smart contract development and architecture. Currently serving as a Sr Smart Contract Developer and Architect at Story Protocol since March 2023, Raul has been instrumental in designing initial architectures and introducing innovative solutions. As the CTO and Co-founder of EthicHub, Raul has played a crucial role in creating a platform that connects unbanked smallholder farmers with global funding sources. Previous roles include Lead Smart Contract Developer for the Forta Project at OpenZeppelin, where Raul led the development of a complex smart contract network, and CTO and Lead Developer at Barspace, focusing on iOS app development. Raul has also contributed to academia as an Associate Professor at U-tad, teaching Mobile Platforms Development, and has a robust background in R&D at Samsung Electronics, alongside earlier positions in mobile technology consulting and software development. Raul holds degrees in Industrial Electronics and Automation from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, as well as specialized studies in engineering and genetic algorithms.
