Nicholas Fernald

Nicholas Fernald has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Nicholas currently works at Story2 as the Director of Operations and Learning, where they manage daily operations and oversees content development. Prior to this, they served as the Learning and Success Manager and Customer Success Manager at Story2, supporting partner organizations and customers while providing educational resources. Nicholas has also worked as an Essay Advisor at Story2.

In addition to their work at Story2, Nicholas has held positions at Brown University as a Summer@Brown Instructor, teaching a course on U.S. Politics, Public Policy, and Social Justice, and at Harvard University as a Teaching Fellow. Nicholas has also worked at Signet Education as an Academic Coach, Tutor, and Consultant.

Nicholas has experience in the education sector as an ELA/History Teacher at The American School Foundation and as an ESL Teacher at Waltham Public Schools. Nicholas has also worked as an Equity and Inclusion Fellow at Harvard Graduate School of Education, where they facilitated on-campus equity programming and fostered inclusivity.

Furthermore, Nicholas has worked as a Travel Correspondent for Reach the World, where they wrote articles and hosted video conferences about their experiences abroad, and as an English Teaching Assistant for Fulbright Colombia, planning and teaching workshops to improve English language skills.

Lastly, Nicholas has served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant and Resident Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, promoting academic excellence and fostering a supportive community.

Nicholas Fernald completed a Master of Education (Ed.M.) in Teaching, Curriculum and Instructional Design from Harvard Graduate School of Education in the years 2016-2017. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Spanish Language and Literature at Middlebury College from 2017 to 2021. Prior to their graduate studies, Nicholas earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History and Sociology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they were a part of the Commonwealth Honors College, between 2011 and 2015. Nicholas also received a Fulbright Scholarship from the U.S. Department of State for the academic year 2015-2016, although the specific month and year of obtaining the certification are not provided.
