April Sunshine Hawkins

April Sunshine Hawkins has a diverse work experience that spans several roles and industries. April Sunshine started their career in 2006 as a Teacher at Birdville Independent School District, where they worked until 2013. Following this, in 2012, April took on the role of Photographer at Funded By Photos, where they provided photography services and accepted donations.

In 2013, April joined Digital Brand Makeover as a Digital Media Strategist & Event Specialist, helping businesses create social media strategies and campaigns. April Sunshine also worked as a Zumba Instructor at Zumba Fitness LLC from 2009 to 2016.

In 2014, April became the Founding Director of FUNDEDBY.ORG, an organization focused on building schools for street children in Kenya. April Sunshine held this position until 2017. During this time, April also worked as a Workshop Facilitator & Keynote Speaker at StoryBrand starting in 2017, helping businesses and non-profits improve their communication and marketing strategies. April Sunshine also held the position of Certified Copywriter at StoryBrand, assisting clients with creating clear and impactful copy.

In 2018, April took on the role of Sales Director at StoryBrand and later transitioned to the position of Director, Marketing Guide Certification Program in 2019, where they led the program until 2021. April also co-hosted the Marketing Made Simple Podcast starting in 2021, focusing on making marketing easy and effective.

Throughout their career, April has demonstrated a passion for clear communication, marketing, and philanthropy, utilizing their skills in various roles to help organizations and individuals succeed.

April Sunshine Hawkins attended Sahuaro High School from 1997 to 2001. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from Lubbock Christian University from 2001 to 2006.
