Yusuf S.

Yusuf S. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Starting in 2013, they worked as a Graduate Consultant at the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. In 2014, they co-founded MIPSTERZ, Inc, where they held the position of Co-Founder / Creative Producer. Yusuf also worked as a Finance Coordinator at the Brooklyn Academy of Music during this time. In 2017, Yusuf joined StoryCorps as an Associate Director of Finance until 2021. Yusuf then became an Artist In Residence at Duke Performances for a brief period in 2022. In the same year, they were also an Incubator Member in the Future Memory Track at NEW INC. Currently, Yusuf holds the position of Director of Finance at StoryCorps since 2023. Additionally, they have worked as a Freelance Musician under their own name, worked as an Artist In Residence at Zoo Labs, and participated in the NYFA Emerging Leaders Program.

Yusuf S. has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from New York University, which they earned from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in Economics from the University of Chicago, from 2006 to 2010. Before attending university, Yusuf graduated from Springfield High School in 2006. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in "20 Unofficial Rules of Songwriting," "Drum Mixing: Techniques," and "Songwriting Techniques with Chords" from LinkedIn in 2018.
