Kristina Neuman has held various roles in the field of design and illustration since 2009. In 2009, they worked as a Freelance Graphic Artist at Amgen, where they designed banners and figures for Amgen Medical and MedInfo for use at conferences. In 2010, they worked as a Freelance Comic Illustrator at Ink'd Well Comics, and as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto, where they conducted weekly media labs and provided design feedback. From 2011 to 2014, they worked at TheVisualMD as a Scientific Visualizer and Project Manager, creating high quality, anatomically accurate medical illustrations for use in online interactive modules. From 2014 to 2016, they were employed at Axon Interactive as a Project Manager & Front-End Web Designer, responsible for much of Axon's internal branding, including website design and business cards. Since 2016, they have been self-employed as a Freelance Illustrator, 2D Animator, and Designer, working on various projects such as KNOW HEALTH and IMAGINEERINGART. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as Head Of Content at StoryMD.
Kristina Neuman attended the University of Guelph from 1999 to 2003, where they earned their BSc in Microbiology. Kristina then attended The Art Institute of Toronto from 2005 to 2006, where they earned their Diploma in 2D Art and Animation. Finally, they attended the University of Toronto from 2008 to 2010, where they earned their MSc in Biomedical Communications.
