Abdi Jama

Abdi Jama has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Abdi'smost recent position was at Storytel, where they served as the Head of Distribution Partnerships Nordics, starting in November 2022. Prior to this, they were a Partnership Manager at Storytel from September 2019 to November 2022.

Before joining Storytel, Abdi worked at Com Hem AB, starting in 2014. At Com Hem, they held multiple roles including VOD Engagement Specialist from February 2017 to November 2022, and VOD Coordinator from September 2014 to February 2017. In these roles, they focused on engaging and motivating customers to consume series and movie content on digital platforms, managing content categorization and sorting, and coordinating the delivery of VOD content to enhance the customer's TV viewing experience.

Abdi began their career at The Walt Disney Company, where they served as a Sales Development Coordinator from September 2013 to September 2014, and as a Marketing Intern from October 2012 to January 2013.

Abdi also gained experience through an internship at Bite Communications in 2008, working as a PR coordinator on client assignments and individual projects. Additionally, they worked as a Kommunikatör/Försäljare at Vendator & Resultat from January 2007 to April 2008, and as an Administrative Assistant at Hersi & Co Solicitors from September 2006 to August 2007.

Abdi's work experience demonstrates their expertise in distribution partnerships, engagement and motivation strategies, content management, coordination, and administrative support.

Abdi Jama's education history includes two main periods of study. From 2007 to 2009, they attended Nackademin and obtained a degree in Försäljningsingenjör (Sales Engineer). Then, in 2012, they enrolled at Sälj och marknadshögskolan, where they completed a program in Qualified Salesman and Marketer, with a focus on Sales, Trade, and Marketing.

In addition to their formal education, Abdi Jama has also obtained several certifications in various subjects. In April 2021, they completed a certification in Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn. In May 2021, they obtained certifications in Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, as well as Strategic Partnerships, both from LinkedIn.
