Koen de Smedt

Koen De Smedt has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology and telecommunications industry. Koen has held positions at different companies, including Storytel, Tele2, Com Hem AB, Kentor, UPC Broadband, and Wolters Kluwer Belgie.

At Storytel, Koen is currently working as a Senior Engineering Manager - Content. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at Tele2, including Head of IT B2B Provisioning & Order Management, as well as Head of Channels and Customer Operations IT.

Before joining Tele2, Koen worked at Com Hem AB, where they held the roles of Development Manager CRM/B2B and Development Manager Service Activation. Koen also served as a Product Area Manager and Project Manager at Com Hem AB.

Koen started their career at Kentor, where they worked as a Senior consultant and Service Manager for RiksTV.

Koen'searliest work experience was at Wolters Kluwer Belgie, where they worked in the IT Helpdesk department.

Throughout their career, Koen has focused on driving modernization, implementing agile practices, and improving technical quality in their teams and projects. Koen has also played key roles in merging cultures and ways of working during company mergers.

Koen De Smedt obtained their Bachelor's degree in Modern History from KU Leuven, where they studied from 1984 to 1990. Koen further pursued their education at UFSAL (now KUB) Brussels, specializing in Modern History, from 1986 to 1989. In 2011, Koen completed a short-term training program at Tieto Training, focusing on PPS (Praktisk ProjektStyrning / Practical Project Steering).
