Ed Heil

Ed Heil has over 25 years of experience in the media and communications industry. Ed currently serves as the CEO and President of StoryTeller Media & Communications, a full-service media relations and content marketing firm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Prior to launching StoryTeller, Ed spent nearly 5 years as a reporter and anchor for WCCO-TV, the CBS affiliate in Minneapolis. During their time at WCCO, Ed reported and anchored sportscasts, as well as filling in as a morning news reporter and anchor on WCCO Morning News.

In 2008, Ed became the Executive Director of the Explore Minnesota Golf Alliance, a marketing consortium developed to promote Minnesota as a top golf destination. In this role, Ed was responsible for leading statewide marketing initiatives for member resorts and facilities. Ed also recruited new members and implemented digital strategies for the entire organization.

Ed began their career in 1996 as a sports reporter and anchor for WIS-TV in Columbia, South Carolina. In 2000, they moved to Minneapolis to join WCCO-TV.

Ed is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications.

Ed Heil's educational career includes a BA in Psychology from Michigan State University and Seaholm High School.
