Mel J.

Mel J. started their work experience in 2017 at Pfizer as an Undergraduate Analytical R&D. They gained experience in HPLC, FTIR, data analysis, and working to GMP. They also conducted an independent research project and wrote a report on their findings. In 2020, Mel J. joined Dame Elizabeth Cadbury Technology College as a Teacher of Science. They planned, prepared, and delivered science lessons to students in KS3-KS5, including online lessons during the COVID-19 lockdown. They collaborated with parents and guardians to ensure the educational welfare of all students. They attended professional development sessions and reflected on their own growth as a teacher. Most recently, Mel J. joined Storyteq in 2022 as a Junior Frontend Developer.

Mel J. has a diverse education history. In 2015, they began their studies at the University of Birmingham, where they earned an MSci degree in Chemistry with Industrial Experience in 2019. Following this, Mel pursued a teaching qualification at Titan Teacher Training, completing a PGCE in Secondary Chemistry from 2019 to 2020.

In 2021, Mel enrolled in the University of Birmingham again, this time completing a Certificate in Full-Stack Web Development. Additionally, Mel has obtained several certifications. They completed the "Scientific Computing with Python" program at freeCodeCamp in September 2022, and the "JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures" and "Responsive Web Design" programs at freeCodeCamp in July 2021 and March 2021, respectively.

They have also pursued certifications in software engineering and Python. They earned the "Software Engineering," "Python Essentials," and "Python Programming" certifications from AiCore in March 2023 and the "Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award" from the Duke Of Edinburgh Award Scheme. Lastly, Mel obtained the ECDL certification from ECDL / ICDL Certification, although the specific details regarding the month and year of completion are unavailable.
