Mel J. started their work experience in 2017 at Pfizer as an Undergraduate Analytical R&D. They gained experience in HPLC, FTIR, data analysis, and working to GMP. They also conducted an independent research project and wrote a report on their findings. In 2020, Mel J. joined Dame Elizabeth Cadbury Technology College as a Teacher of Science. They planned, prepared, and delivered science lessons to students in KS3-KS5, including online lessons during the COVID-19 lockdown. They collaborated with parents and guardians to ensure the educational welfare of all students. They attended professional development sessions and reflected on their own growth as a teacher. Mel J. has a diverse education history. In 2015, they began their studies at the University of Birmingham, where they earned an MSci degree in Chemistry with Industrial Experience in 2019. They earned the "Software Engineering," "Python Essentials," and "Python Programming" certifications from AiCore in March 2023 and the "Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award" from the Duke Of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
