Hariny grew up amidst the thriving Dravidian culture and ancient temples in the city of Madurai in Tamil Nadu. She has an MA in Creative Writing from Newcastle University. Her work has been published in the Verse of Silence, the Intersect Journal, and The Open Culture Collective. Her first book, the dictionary of flowers is set in India and talks about her experience as a young woman living in a society dictated by misogyny and a fierce longing for home.
