John Stakes is a seasoned investment banker currently serving as Managing Director at Stout since February 2023. Prior to this role, John held the position of Executive Director at UBS from September 2011 to May 2021, where responsibility included the coverage of the industrials sector with a focus on machinery and freight technology, overseeing transactions in transportation, logistics, and automotive. John also gained experience at The Carlyle Group as a Summer Associate in 2010, evaluating infrastructure investments, and at Accenture from January 2005 to September 2009 as a Consultant, employing analytics for data-driven marketing strategies for Fortune 500 clients. Educationally, John obtained an MBA with concentrations in Analytical Finance and Accounting from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BA in Economics from Connecticut College.
