Mark Buchanan

Mark Buchanan is a Managing Director in the Investment Banking group at Stout, where Mark leads the ESOP Investment Banking effort, focusing on the needs of family, founder, and employee-owned companies since September 2022. Before joining Stout, Mark served as a Managing Director at Macquarie Capital and as Managing Director and National Practice Leader for Financial Advisory Services at BMO Harris Bank, specializing in corporate finance advisory for private enterprises. Earlier experience includes roles in mergers and acquisitions at Career Education Corporation, investment banking at Credit Suisse as Vice President, and senior lending positions at Bank of the West and Lasalle Bank. Mark holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a degree in Finance from Oakland University.
