Michael Wang

Michael Wang, PhD, is a seasoned expert in machine learning, cybersecurity, and communications networks with extensive experience across multiple high-profile organizations. As Deputy Group Lead at STR since October 2019, Michael has directed business development for Department of Defense R&D pursuits, generating over $30 million in new business, and led a team to create AI-enabled cyber-secure communications. Previously, Michael served as Principal Scientist at BAE Systems, leading the development of autonomous network architectures and publishing influential papers on the Internet of Battlefield Things. Academic credentials include a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University and ongoing MBA studies at The Wharton School.
