Yi-San Lai

Yi-san Lai is a highly experienced engineering professional with a strong background in acoustics and ocean engineering. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer and Team Lead at STR since September 2015, Yi-san has progressed through several technical roles, including Lead Engineer and Senior Member of Technical Staff. Prior to this, Yi-san worked at BAE Systems from January 2007 to July 2015 as a Principal Research Engineer and Senior Research Engineer. Earlier career experience includes a position as a Computational Acoustic Scientist at Acoustic Ideas Inc. from June 2005 to January 2007, and a research assistant role at National Taiwan University in 1996-1997. Yi-san Lai earned a Ph.D. in Acoustics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Ocean Engineering from National Taiwan University.
