David Smiton served as the VP of Governance, Risk & Compliance at Strada and has held various senior roles in cybersecurity and compliance throughout their career. They began as a Technical Designer at Beresford (UK) Ltd and progressed to leadership positions at notable organizations such as the BBC, where they managed multi-million pound cybersecurity programs. Smiton was also the GDPR & Security Programme Manager at NGA Human Resources, where they established a global GDPR compliance framework. With a BSc in Information Systems Management from Bournemouth University and an MSc in Information Technology & Management from Sheffield Hallam University, they have a strong educational background supporting their extensive professional experience.
