As the head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Michael leads a team that plays a crucial role for Strada and its affiliates by performing budgeting, forecasting, and analysis that supports major corporate decisions for senior leadership, the CEO and the Board of Directors including investment and asset allocation decisions, financial planning, financial risk management, and strategic transactions.
Prior to joining Strada in 2017, Austin served as CFO and Finance Director of Laureate Global Partnerships, a division of publicly traded Laureate Education. There he led a global financial team responsible for setting financial strategy, budgeting and forecasting, operations and accounting support, and financial reporting.
Austin’s experience also includes serving in senior positions at various investment banking firms where he focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising in the financial services, real estate, business services sectors.
Austin earned his undergraduate degree from George Washington University in International Affairs/International Economics and attended the College of William and Mary’s MBA program.
