Thomas B. Mangas is the Founder and CEO of Centerfire Capital, LLC which advises and invests in leading consumer service and product businesses. He serves on the Board of Directors of Tab Food Investments, a leading quick service restaurant operator in Turkey and China with over 2,500 restaurants. There, he is the chair of both their Corporate Governance and Risk Committees. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Curacity, an early stage hospitality technology company.
Formerly Mangas was the Chief Executive Officer of International Car Wash Group, the world’s largest car wash operator with nearly 900 sites in Europe, USA, and Australia. During 2016, Mangas was the Chief Executive Officer of Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc., and also served as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from September 2014 to December 2015. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Office of Armstrong Floor Products, a division of Armstrong World Industries, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of floors and ceilings, from November 2013 to September 2014, and as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Armstrong World Industries, Inc. from February 2010 to November 2013. Mangas spent 20 years at the Procter and Gamble Company, a global consumer packaged goods company, in progressively senior roles and, from August 2008 to January 2010, served as Vice President, Finance and Accounting for the Global Beauty a Grooming business of The Procter and Gamble Company.
Mangas has deep experience with numerous growth focused transactions (spins, mergers and acquisitions), Wall Street interactions, capital allocations, regulatory compliance, technology development, and effective cost reduction initiatives. Mangas earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics and History in 1990 from the University of Virginia, where he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honorary society and currently serves as the Vice Chair of the UVA Alumni Association.
Mangas joined the Strada Education Network Board of Trustees in 2017 and currently serves as Chair of the Finance & Audit Committee and also serves on the Compensation Committee.
