Marissa Parker

Marissa Parker has a strong and diverse work experience. Marissa started their career as a Policy Associate at the Childhood Lead Action Project in 2000 and then worked as a Project Director at Environmental Defence in 2002. In 2003, they worked as a Research Consultant at the Natural Resources Defense Council. Marissa later joined the Committee of Seventy as a Legal Intern in 2005. In 2007, Marissa joined Stradley Ronon as a Litigation Associate and worked in that role until 2015.

Throughout their time at Stradley Ronon, Marissa held various leadership positions including Vice Chair of the Litigation Department, Co-Chair of the Investment Management Litigation Practice, and Hiring Committee Chair. Marissa represented clients in complex commercial litigation matters, focusing on securities, investment management, health care, and ERISA. Marissa also provided counsel to clients on early case assessment and strategic dispute resolution. Notable achievements include obtaining favorable settlements for mutual funds and institutional investors in securities fraud cases and securing dismissals for Invesco mutual funds in derivative lawsuits.

In 2022, Marissa became the Deputy Executive Director and Partner at Stradley Ronon, where they focused on practice group management, lateral acquisitions and integration, firm operations, and strategic initiatives. In 2023, they were promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer.

Marissa Parker received their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Temple University - James E. Beasley School of Law. Marissa attended the law school from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, Marissa pursued their undergraduate education at Brown University, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science from 1998 to 2002. Additionally, in 2001, they participated in a Study Abroad Program at UNSW (University of New South Wales).
