Tristan Wu has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2017. That year, they were an Intern at Technical Consulting and Research, where they researched HIPAA Technical and Physical Safeguards and developed two best practice documents for HIPAA compliance and documentation. Tristan also worked as a Data Analyst Intern at Cloud-88, performing server maintenance and interacting with clients to provide technical support. In 2018, Wu worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Gleason Lab and as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology. At Georgia Institute of Technology, they facilitated a team of eight students in the design process to develop a medical device and guided 24 students in developing skills related to teamwork and experimental design. In 2019, Wu worked as a Biomedical Engineering Intern at Strados Labs, where they assisted in product development and testing of firmware, software, and electronic devices. Tristan also established and executed verification protocols to validate the acoustic performance of a respiratory monitoring device. Finally, in 2020, Wu worked as a Laboratory Technician at Regenative Labs, manufacturing regenerative medicines derived from human tissue and designing and implementing new processes for production. In 2021, Wu returned to Strados Labs as a System Engineer II and System Engineer I.
Tristan Wu obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology between 2016 and 2021. In 2018, they participated in a Study Abroad Program in Biomedical Engineering at the National University of Ireland Galway - NUI Galway. In addition, they hold three certifications: Certified Tissue Bank Auditor from The Colyn Group Quality Consultants (obtained in November 2020), Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) from Dassault Systèmes (obtained in March 2020), and Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) from Dassault Systèmes (obtained in January 2019).
