Yoon Choong Kong

Mr Yoon Choon Kong is the Group Internal Auditor of Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad (“MSC”). He joined Straits Trading, the holding company of MSC, in 1978 as an Accounting Officer. In 1985, he was promoted to Accountant at MSC, before assuming his present position in 1995. Concurrently, he also holds the portfolio of General Manager, Special Projects since 2018.

Mr Yoon has over 40 years of working experience with Straits Trading as well as MSC, and held various positions including Vice President of Group Internal Audit at Straits Trading.

Mr Yoon holds a Diploma in Management from the Malaysian Institute of Management. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia and Certified Lead Auditor of National Registration Scheme for Lead Assessors of Quality Systems (UK).
