Troy Hetherington

Troy Hetherington has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Troy is currently serving as the President & CEO of Stran Technologies since May 2022. Prior to this, they held multiple positions at Corning Optical Communications from 2018 to 2022, including Vice President - Advanced Optical Networks and Vice President - OEM Commercial.

Before joining Corning Optical Communications, Troy worked at Corning Incorporated as the General Manager - STRAN from 2017 to 2018. Troy also has an extensive history with Stran Technologies, where they served as the Executive Vice President from 2008 to 2017, General Manager from 2006 to 2008, and Marketing Director in 2005. Troy played a crucial role in leading the acquisition and integration team for Johanson Fiber Optic Group, resulting in accretive earnings and a 1.5-year payback on investment.

Furthermore, Troy has experience as the Co-Owner of Apex Optics from 2003 to 2005, Business Unit Manager - Infocomm at Thales Electro-Optics in 2001, and held various roles at Amphenol Aerospace from 1993 to 2001, including International Sales Manager and Marketing Manager - Asia/Pacific. Troy started their career at Amphenol Aerospace as a Sales Engineer Trainee and worked their way up to become the Product Manager - Advanced Data Transfer and Senior Sales Engineer.

Throughout their career, Troy has demonstrated success in sales, marketing, product management, and leadership roles. Troy has consistently exceeded sales budgets and contributed to the growth and profitability of the organizations they have been associated with.

Troy Hetherington obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Mathematics from Clarkson University, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Troy then pursued further education at Pepperdine University from 1995 to 1997, earning an MBA with an emphasis in Finance.
