Jordi Montané-Balagué

Jordi Montané-Balagué has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Jordi started their career as an Administrative Clerk at S.I. Lasermedic SCP in 1994. Subsequently, they worked as an Administrative Clerk at Fundació Intermon Oxfam, Administrative Clerk at Departament d'Ensenyament - Generalitat de Catalunya, and Computer Operator at Crea Empleo Ett Sl.

In 2003, Jordi worked as a Web Software Developer at Citricus Online, where they gained experience in web programming and database design. Jordi then joined Departament de Cultura i Mitjans de Comunicació - Generalitat de Catalunya, initially as a Customer Service Clerk and later as an Administrative Clerk at the Staff Training Department.

From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Customer Service Clerk at Departament de Cultura i Mitjans de Comunicació - Generalitat de Catalunya. In 2007, Jordi took on the role of Administrative Clerk at the Staff Training Department, where they managed staff training applications and certifications.

Jordi Montané-Balagué joined Departament de Empresa i Ocupació a Barcelona - Generalitat de Catalunya in 2009 as an Administrative and Consultant at Customer Service. Jordi held this role until 2011.

In 2012, Jordi worked at Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya - Generalitat de Catalunya as a Developer and Data Manager in the Technical Services Area. Jordi was responsible for database management and programming in a Visual Basic environment to generate data reports.

From 2015 to 2017, Jordi worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Strands, where they reviewed requirements with the developer team and customers, wrote and executed tests (manual and automatic), monitored test progress, reported status, logged defects, tracked and tested defect fixes. Jordi also handled manual test planning and management using TestRail and integrated automated tests with TestRail API.

In 2017, Jordi transitioned to the role of Software Developer and Analyst at Strands, and they currently hold the position of Engineering Team Lead since January 2021.

Jordi Montané-Balagué completed a Bachelor of Software Engineering (BEng) degree from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya from 2007 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Technician degree in Software Development from IES-SEP Escola del Treball from 2001 to 2003. Their earlier education includes completing BUP - COU at IES Menendez Pelayo from 1982 to 1986, focusing on science. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in subjects such as web application development, Catalan language proficiency, and English language proficiency throughout their career.
