Tara Tan

Tara Tan is the Founder and Managing Partner of Strange Ventures, a first-check fund focused on investing in inventor-CEOs advancing the future of computing, a role held since July 2023. Previously, Tara served as a General Partner at IDEO Ventures from March 2016 to December 2022, where significant achievements included cofounding a fund that attained top-decile returns. As Design Director at Formlabs from 2014 to 2016, Tara contributed to the design and development of innovative products. Between 2007 and 2014, Tara founded various ventures, creating ambitious interactive installations and successful creative campaigns for global brands. Tara holds a Masters of Design Studies from Harvard University and a B.A. from the University of Bristol.
