Tom Carvell

Tom Carvell has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Tom is currently working as a Principal, Innovation at STRAT7 since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at RB, where they held multiple roles including R&D Manager, Senior Associate Foot Care Innovation & Feasibility, and Associate. Tom was also part of the Future Leadership Programme, where they gained experience in 3D packaging and devices, home-care M&E, and footcare R&D. Before RB, Tom worked as a Freelance Webdesigner, developing websites for businesses and charities. Tom also had roles at the University of Bristol as a Teaching Lab Demonstrator and at De La Rue as an R&D Placement Student, where they contributed to the development of security features for banknotes. Tom started their career as a Junior Web Developer at Ultraspeed Inc and as a Counter Assistant at Sainsbury's, where they gained customer service and pharmaceutical knowledge.

Tom Carvell earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Functional Nanomaterials from the University of Bristol in the years 2011-2015. Prior to that, they completed an MSci in Chemistry with Industrial Experience also at the University of Bristol from 2007-2011.
