Kathy Carney

Kathy Carney has a diverse work experience in various roles related to compliance, waste management, and environmental protection. Kathy started their career in 1985 as a Chemical Plants Ops Support and Waste Management Supervisor at Westinghouse Materials Company of Ohio. From 1989 to 1990, they worked as a Proposal Writer at Waste Management. In 1991, they joined Battelle as a Manager for Hazardous Waste Operations. Kathy then moved to Brookhaven National Laboratory in 1999 and became the Director of the Waste Management Division until 2002. Kathy joined Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 2002 and held the position of Director of Environmental Protection and Waste Services Division until 2013 when they became the Operations Manager for the Physical Sciences Directorate. In 2016, they joined Strata-G, LLC as a Senior Compliance Specialist.

Kathy Carney graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Management. Kathy then pursued further education and completed their Master of Science degree in Environmental Management from The University of Findlay in 1997.
