Rita Locke Pettine

Rita Locke Pettine has a wide range of experience in the technology industry. Rita started their career in 2001 working as a Senior Advisory Software Engineer for SunGard Higher Education, where they coordinated the transition of Banner 8 to Banner XE. Later in their career, Rita worked as a Senior Software Developer for Ellucian, where they piloted the restructuring of Banner 8 Student to Banner 9 Student. Rita also owned a company, The Assistant, providing custom web and mobile solutions to organizations and small businesses. Additionally, they were a Board Trustee and Technology Chair for the Bergen Swamp Preservation Society, where they administered needs analysis and customized the website using augmented reality to enhance the visitor experience. In 2018, Rita founded RJLP Consulting LLC and worked as the President, managing multiple simultaneous projects for multiple clients, prioritizing client needs and delivering solutions on time. Rita then worked as a Senior ERP Consultant for Strata Information Group, starting in 2022.

Rita Locke Pettine holds a Master's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction from Rochester Institute of Technology, which was completed in 2017. In addition to this degree, they completed an Advanced Certificate in Technical Information Design at the same institution in 2011 and another Master's Degree in Professional Studies in 2012. Rita also obtained a Signature Track certification in Android Handheld Systems from Coursera in 2014. Additionally, they obtained several other certifications from Coursera in 2014, including Programming Cloud Services for Android Handheld Systems, Pattern-Oriented Software Architectures: Programming Mobile Services for Android Handheld Systems, Design: Creation of Artifacts in Society, and Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems.
