Matthew Palmer has a diverse work experience history, starting from their role as a Commercial Lending Analyst at BankSA in 1994. Matthew then worked at Exide Technologies from 1997 to 2013, taking on various roles such as Business Analyst, Finance Manager, Finance and Planning Manager, and Director of Supply Chain. During their time at Exide Technologies, they implemented JD Edwards modules and built relationships with suppliers in Asia, resulting in significant savings for the organization.

In 2013, Palmer joined Marshall Power as Director of Finance and Supply Chain, leading business restructuring, implementing new products, and improving recycling rates. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of South Australia from 2007 to 2008. Additionally, they earned the certification of Certified Practicing Accountant from CPA Australia in 1998.
