Michael Burgess

Michael Burgess is a seasoned technical professional with a strong background in software engineering and team leadership. Currently serving as Technical Lead at Strategic Imperatives since May 2025, Michael previously held the position of Engineering Team Lead at The Instant Group from September 2023 to June 2025. Prior experience includes Lead Software Engineer at ITV and Software Engineering Chapter Lead at Vodafone, where Michael also worked as a Senior Software Engineer. Michael's career began at Lifecycle Software Ltd, where roles included Development Team Lead and Graduate Software Developer. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computer Science from Northumbria University between 2007 and 2011.
