Samantha Johnson

Samantha Johnson has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Congressional & Public Affairs Specialist at Strategic Insight, Ltd. since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Public Affairs Assistant at Vox Optima LLC from January 2021 to February 2022. Samantha also served as a Marketing Coordinator at D-Tech, LLC for a brief period from June 2020 to August 2020.

Before entering the professional world, Samantha had significant involvement in various leadership roles at The Big Event at Virginia Tech, where they served as the Co-Director and Internal Relations Executive from August 2017 to April 2020. This role involved organizing a large student-run day of service and overseeing numerous service projects.

During their time at Virginia Tech, Samantha also gained valuable experience as a Student Supervisor/Instructional Assistant at the Virginia Tech Math Emporium from January 2018 to January 2020. In addition, they worked as a Summer Peer Mentor at The Office of Undergraduate Research in May 2019 to August 2019. Lastly, Samantha engaged in Undergraduate Research at Virginia Tech from January 2018 to May 2019.

Samantha Johnson attended Virginia Tech from 2017 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations and a minor in Mathematics. In addition to their academic achievements, they obtained several certifications: in October 2020, they completed the "SEO Foundations" course from LinkedIn; in January 2019, they became a Certified Level 1 Tutor through the CRLA; and in October 2018, they received training in Human Subjects Protection from Virginia Tech.
