David J. Ordoobadi

David is responsible for relationship management at Strategic and contributes to the firm’s investment teams and economic research. Prior to joining Strategic, David was Assistant Director in the Finance Department at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), where he was responsible for the design and implementation of strategic asset allocation policies and development of new income sources. David created a framework for integrating capital markets and macroeconomic analysis into the IMF’s assessment of global financial stability and was one of the principal authors of the IMF’s Global Financial Stability Report. He served on the Board of Directors of the Bank-Fund Staff Federal Credit Union.

He holds an M.B.A. from the Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires in Fontainebleau, France, a postgraduate diploma from the London School of Economics, an M.Phil. from Oxford University, and a B.A. from Bowdoin College, Brunswick, Maine. David is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Washington, D.C. He holds the Professional Risk Manager (PRM) designation and is a member of the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association.
