Richard M. Behler

Rick is responsible for relationship management at Strategic. He has extensive experience in working with endowments, foundations and insurance firms, as well as experience as an institutional equity portfolio manager for major Wall Street firms. Prior to joining Strategic, he served eight years as a Director, Portfolio Manager at Hirtle, Callaghan & Co, where he worked with the largest institutional clients of the firm and was a voting member of the Investment Policy Committee. He has also held senior portfolio manager positions at Chartwell Investment Partners and Morgan Stanley Investment Management, where he managed U.S. Large Cap Value Portfolios. Before Morgan Stanley, he was a Hedge Fund Manager at Moore Capital Management, LLC and a “sell-side” Securities Analyst at Merrill Lynch & Co. in New York.

Rick has a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and a B.S. in Economics from Villanova University.
