Chan Eng Yew

Mr. Chan is currently the CEO of the Strategic Marine Group where his responsibilities include strategic planning, direction and implementation as well as business development for the Group and oversees the day to day operations of the Group. Prior to this, he was the CEO of SGX Main Board Listed Triyards Holdings Limited from 2014 to 2020.

Mr. Chan was the Chief Financial Officer of EOC Limited since 2007, prior to him joining Triyards Holdings Limited in February of 2014. He led the transaction which saw the successful listing of EOC Limited on the mainboard of the Oslo Stock Exchange, being the first Asian company to do so.

Mr. Chan served as an Assistant General Manager of Finance and Marketing of Ezra Holdings Limited. from 2004 to 2007 and served as its Corporate Finance Manager from 2003 to 2004, where he participated in the project to list Ezra Holdings in Singapore (SESDAQ). Thereafter he was involved in its promotion to the Mainboard of the SGX.

Mr. Chan spearheaded the Sale and Leaseback of USD500m worth of offshore assets and was instrumental in the first USD227m State Bank of Vietnam offshore loan in Vietnam for a Floating Production Storage and Offloading unit (FPSO). He has experience in listing a company in Singapore and Oslo, Norway and is well versed in the requirements of corporate governance and disclosures of both markets.

He served as Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking of United Overseas Bank Group from 1998 to 2003. He has more than 8 years of experience in commercial and corporate banking, having held several positions at United Overseas Bank (UOB).

Mr. Chan holds B. Comm (Banking and Finance) from Murdoch University, MBA from the University of Louisville, Kentucky and Masters in Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
