Brandi Hester, PMP

Brandi Hester, PMP has over twenty years of work experience in the IT industry. Brandi began their career in 1998 as a Developer at Lockheed Martin, where they completed entry level coding tasks and created application testing documentation. In 2000, Brandi moved to Workbooks Software as a Senior Programmer, providing 24x7 year round mobile technical support, installing and training clients on custom systems on-site, and meeting with clients/users to determine their individual requirements.

In 2007, Brandi joined Harris County District Clerk as a Supervisor of Application Development, where they were responsible for complying with governmental regulations and local rules as they applied to software development and dissemination of data, designing and implementing n-tier specialty applications, and developing UML diagrams and ER Models for software design and development cycles. Brandi was also a Team Lead and Programmer/Analyst at the same company.

In 2012, Brandi became the Director of Web and Application Development at Neighborhood Centers Inc., where they integrated disparate systems, provided recommendations and guidance for modernization and streamlining processes across agencies, and created standards for development, QA/configuration management, and staff code reviews.

In 2018, Brandi moved to U.S. Silica Company as a Senior Manager, Applications, where they ensured compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) mandates for software systems, developed and utilized metrics for IT service management, project and resource allocation, and budget to improve department performance, and managed a diverse application development portfolio.

In 2021, Brandi joined PSC Group as a Senior Application Manager, where they built a framework of standards, processes, and templates for a fledgling IT department, created the project management organization and its standards, processes, and templates, and created a mentorship program to discover high potential talent within the organization for on-call Business Analysts to drive project success. Most recently, in 2023, Brandi moved to Strategic Solutions Group (SSG) as a Low Code Engineering Manager.

Brandi Hester, PMP obtained their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Houston-Clear Lake between 2000 and 2006. Brandi also obtained transfer credits from San Jacinto College between 1999 and 2000. Prior to that, they attended Abilene Christian University in 1998. In 2015, they obtained their Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
