Conor Delanbanque is the CEO and Founder of Strategio, a company focused on increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in enterprise IT. Their experience includes roles such as Head of DevOps Practice - North America at mthree and Associate Director - Head of DevOps USA at Salt. Conor has a background in recruitment, having worked as a Senior Consultant at Next Ventures and Recruitment Consultant at Vivid Resourcing Ltd. Prior to their career in IT and recruitment, Conor served as an Officer Cadet in the Royal Air Force. We are a community of technologists, dedicated to the purpose of increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion for underrepresented and underserved groups in Enterprise IT. Only 28% of software engineering jobs are held by women. Only 5% of IT jobs are held by Black people and only 11% by LGBTQIA+. Traditional bootcamps charge high fees with no guarantee of job placement. Enterprise organizations spend time and money on hiring but often lack retention. There is a war on talent and corporations are being held accountable for hiring more underrepresented groups, but many struggle to attract and retain this talent. We solve these problems by empowering and investing in diverse technology talent, in order to increase representation for all people and to create higher performing enterprise organizations. Through ‘Talent Creation as a Service’, we create an end-to-end pipeline of fresh, diverse talent for the industry.
