Alex Ellis

Alex Ellis is the Associate Director at Stratevi. Alex has dedicated their career to improving healthcare through evidence-based research.

Alex started their career as a Senior Research Associate at Mapi, where they worked on developing new methods for conducting clinical trials. Alex then transitioned to Brown University, where they worked as a Graduate Research Associate in the Center for Evidence Synthesis in Health. In this role, they conducted economic evaluations of different healthcare interventions.

After several years in academia, Alex decided to move into the private sector and became an Independent Consultant at Doctor Evidence, LLC. In this role, they provided expert consulting services on health technology assessment (HTA) and economic evaluation to a range of clients.

Most recently, Alex has taken on the role of Senior Scientist, HTA and Economic Evaluation at the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review (ICER). In this role, they use their expertise to assess the value of new drugs and medical technologies.

Alex Ellis has a Ph.D. in Health Services Research from Brown University School of Public Health, an AM in Biostatistics from Brown University School of Public Health, an MSc in International Health Policy (Health Economics) from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a BS in Economics and Mathematics from Bucknell University.
