Carrie Wreford

Board Member at Stratford Festival

Carrie Wreford was born and raised in Toronto and relocated to Stratford in 2006. She is co-owner of three retail stores, which she operates with her husband, Jeremy Wreford. Their primary business, Bradshaws, is an award-winning shop that has been part of the Stratford community since 1895. In addition to her business management skills, Carrie's strengths include graphic design, social media content creation, marketing and e-commerce strategies and developing new and innovative ways to service customers and the broader community. Prior to her retail career, Carrie worked as a Wardrobe Stylist in the Toronto commercial film industry and as a Graphic Designer for Roots Canada. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Gallery Stratford, and on the Advisory Committee of the Stratford Chef School. She has also served on the Board of Directors for Destination Stratford for over ten years, including three years as Board Chair prior to and during the early days of the pandemic. Carrie and her husband support numerous cultural events and attractions, non-profit organizations and charities in an effort to continue to strengthen the Stratford community. Carrie is committed to ongoing learning in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and has successfully completed the Indigenous Canada course through the Faculty of Native Studies at the University of Alberta, and has participated in DEI and Holocaust education workshops. In 2022, she was interviewed for the podcast The Bridge by Peter Mansbridge - "Hate and Trying to Confront It" and Ralph Benmergui's Yehupetzville, which chronicles Jewish life in towns and cities across Canada. She has collaborated with Gallery Stratford, The Stratford Perth Museum and the Avon Maitland District School Board to help increase student exposure to anti-racism and Holocaust education. She first visited the Stratford Festival at age sixteen and has been a theatre-lover ever since.

Ezra performed the role of Prince Edward in the 2022 production of Richard III in the inaugural season of the Tom Patterson Theatre. This experience allowed her family to enjoy the Stratford Festival from behind-the-scenes and to participate in the historic ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Tom Patterson Theatre. She joined the Stratford Festival's Board of Directors in April 2023 and serves on both the Education & Archives and Marketing & Communications Committees.
