Joanne McKinnon

Joanne McKinnon is an experienced GIS professional with a strong background in industrial and business development analysis. Currently serving as a GIS Industrial and Business Development Analyst at Strathcona County Economic Development and Tourism since April 2015, Joanne previously held positions at the Department of Energy, Government of Alberta, as a GIS Technologist from November 2011 to April 2015, and at TELUS as a GIS Specialist/Business Analyst from March 2003 to November 2011. Earlier in their career, Joanne worked as a GIS Database Assistant at Strathcona County from 2001 to 2003. Academically, Joanne holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental and Conservation Science from the University of Alberta, completed in 1999, and furthered education at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology from 2000 to 2001.
