Business Development Analyst at Strathcona Resources Ltd.

Daniela Fernández has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Daniela began their career as an Intern at ECOPETROL in 2014, where they were responsible for compiling production data and presenting analysis to the management team. In 2015, they worked as a Field Engineer at Chemdrill, where they optimized dehydration treatment processes and supervised a team of technicians. Daniela then joined the University of Calgary as a Graduate Research Student in 2018, conducting PVT analysis and developing a pressure dependent correlation for methane solubility in heavy oil. From 2021 to 2023, Daniela worked as an Asset Integrity EIT at IRISNDT, gaining experience in asset integrity. Currently, they are a Business Development Analyst at Strathcona Resources Ltd, where they are involved in business development activities.

Daniela Fernández completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia from 2008 to 2013. Daniela then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the same university from 2012 to 2014. Afterward, they joined the University of Calgary and obtained their Master of Science degree in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering from 2018 to 2021.
